Matthew LeFever has grown up in the hospitality industry. His family owned “LeFever's River Grille" in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for 8 years where he learned the business from the ground up. In 2006 the restaurant sold and Matthew stepped into a management role at Portage Country Club. In his 9 years at Portage he concentrated on member satisfaction, staff training, and building an exceptional wine list. Matthew moved to West Caldwell, New Jersey in 2015 as the Assistant General Manager and Mountain Ridge Country Club. Matthew left his mark at Mountain Ridge by growing the overall food and beverage department. He then returned to North East Ohio as the Assistant General Manager at Signature of Solon Country Club where he spent 2 years learning the ins and outs of the corporate club world. Returning to Portage on 4th of July of 2021 to help guide the club through the final stages of construction and opening their new patio. Now, as of 2023 he holds the Role of Assistant General Manager at The Venice Golf and Country Club, Venice, Florida.
