For more than 20 years, Jim has led the operational management of the Club and implemented the policies set forth by the Board of Directors with vision, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. His passion for environmental sustainability is evident through the numerous green initiatives and business practices he has implemented, which have garnered national and international recognition, achieved significant financial benefits for the Club and its members, and led VGCC to become the first private club assessed to reach a US leadership position in sustainability. He is recognized as a Certified Club Manager and Certified Chief Executive by the Club Managers Association of America. He has combined his extensive wine knowledge with his financial acumen to bring forth a financially sound and enjoyable Club for the members. Jim was recognized as a 2012 and 2013 finalist by Sustainable Florida for Best Practice in the leadership category. His leadership led to the Audubon Certification, Green Business Partnership, Golf Environment Organization Certification, Vivid Leaf Certification Sustainability National Leader, and numerous other awards and recognition. One of his favorites is the recognition of VGCC as the best workplace.
